  if you once were fully pimi and truly believed jw doctrine to the core like i once did, when you come to the reality that it is not the truth at all it can be extremely devastating.. i think only other ex jws could ever understand.

  i wasted my entire life i thought the real life was yet to come to wasted the best years knocking on doors.

  now i’m so angry.. i can understand why so many top themselves when they realise it was all lies..

  Hey Elderberry, here is an Idea for you, make a list of all of the things that you always wanted to do but were not able because of time constraints or what other people might think or things that were just off the scale naughty.

  Just do it and cross them off as you go, and in your heart, every one of those worldly pleasures can be like a Javelin missile fired back at the borg.

  the magazine that they are studying in the congregation this month has an article at the back about how pornography in a marriage could damage the relationship.. there's one piece of advice that sounds rather scary, the wt suggests that the couple should "consider asking an elder with whom you are both comfortable to sit in and guide your discussions for a time.".

  how many of you would want an elder present in your home while you and your partner discussed your personal sexual cravings and the type of porn videos being watched?.

  Therapy with an EXJW therapist that’s working for me

  for years after leaving i was afraid of going to therapy or seeking help with a counselor to unpack my jehovah’s witness upbringing and shunning.

  i think one of the things i like the most about therapy with an exjw therapist is that i dont have to explain every detail.

  she knows my issues and it saves time and $$ in sessions.

  i see this phrase a lot: "the indication of a cult is what happens when you leave.

  " i'm not sure where that originated, but it is a faulty categorization.

  "cult" is almost always used in a derogatory way.

  Islam... hard to find another collection of ideas that has been so detrimental to mankind, various estimates of the death toll directly attributed to jihad over the last 14 centuries range between 270 and 720, Million lives the figures for oppression and rape will never be known.
